Where is the Art: the creative heart of NSW
The visual arts of inland NSW
Where is the Art (WITA) loves to promote and talk about the art, artists and galleries of inland NSW. We cover the creative heart of NSW, from the Queensland border to the Murray River, from the Blue Mountains to Broken Hill in the west.
WITA is a visual arts blog, art exhibition and events calendar, art map, listing service, media sponsor, promotions service and social media advocate for the visual arts of regional NSW.
Contact us if you wish to list on the site. The artist and gallery pages are free. Listings are available in our Events Calendar for a small fee – both for one-off events or a full year program. All events are regularly promoted on our Facebook page and on Twitter, as well as listed in our monthly e-news. No new events or listings will be uploaded after August 2013.
NEWS: July 2013
I’ve been trying to work out how to move forward with Where is the Art and Q&Art and as a result I have made a decision that unless someone comes forward between now and the end of the year, I’ll be archiving WITA and Q&Art in December. It’s been a tough decision, brought to a head by competing demands on my time over the coming 18 months. All past posts on Q&Art will remain available and I’ll be streamlining the pages on the rest of the site, maintaining it from time to time to ensure it is still available as a resource for those who have come to use it, enjoy it and find it a valuable source of information about the visual arts of inland NSW.
I’m still dedicated to helping other artists and assisting artists with marketing and promoting their work and activities. WITA’s social media sites will continue to operate and I’ll be offering both training and professional services through Ochre Communications.
I released a video about the past two years of WITA in the July issue of Q&Art and invite you to watch it.
I hope to continue my relationship with the many wonderful artists, directors and administrators I have met and come to know over the past two years. A huge thank you to all of you for your support. I’ve been rewarded by the friendships I’ve made along the way…our small successes are due to you.
